Overview

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO),Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA),and the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, organise the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) annually.

Since its launch in 2014, WGES has succeeded in galvanising global efforts to promote the shift towards a green economy and has provided a strategic platform to support international cooperation to face global challenges, promote sustainable development and investments in the green economy, encourage adoption of effective policies, plans, and initiatives in this area, and discuss pressing issues including climate change and global warming.

Post-Summit Actions and Accountability

To ensure that the outcomes of the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) 2025 are translated into sustained action, the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO) will implement a structured set of follow-up measures as part of its annual accountability framework. These actions are designed to promote transparency, reinforce commitment, and facilitate continued collaboration among stakeholders.

Monitoring of Commitments

WGEO will establish a mechanism to track and assess the implementation of voluntary commitments announced during the Summit.

Progress
Reporting

A system will be introduced to enable participants to provide regular updates on the advancement of their initiatives and contributions.
