The United Nations (UN) is an intergovernmental organization responsible for maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations, achieving international cooperation, and being a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations.

The UNFCCC secretariat (UN Climate Change) was established in 1992 when countries adopted the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)

The United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) was established to promote, coordinate and support South-South and triangular cooperation globally and within the United Nations system.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the United Nations' global development network. It advocates for change and connects countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life for themselves

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies.

The Global Compact Network UAE is hosted by the World Green Economy Organization. To achieve the ambitious and necessary goals set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the UN Global Compact has launched a number of Global Impact Initiatives, Action Platforms and Online Tools and Trainings for companies to adopt and learn from.

The umbrella organization for African local governments, was founded in 2005 in the City of Tshwane, South Africa as a result of the unification of three continental groups of local governments, namely the African Union of Local Authorities (AULA); the Union des Villes Africaines (UVA); and the Africa Chapter of the União das Ciudades e Capitães Lusófonas Africanas, (UCCL AFRICA).

The UICCA established as an independent, non-partisan entity, the UICCA is enabling and energising an ecosystem that actively participates in realising one shared vision. With the UICCA’s position as the nucleus catalysing the ecosystem, we strive to address climate change challenges, provide innovation-led solutions, bridge gaps, and actively serve as a platform for engagement between the UAE government, private sector, NGOs and other stakeholders.

Born out of the great hearts and spirit of His Majesty the Late King Hussein and HRH Prince Hassan in 1970, the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) aims to be the knowledge leader for science and technology locally and regionally. The RSS uses excellent scientific and engineering research to power economic development and social progress.
