Access to membership of the Organization is at the absolute discretion of the Council. The Council shall, from time to time, issue rules and procedures governing applications for membership, which may include a specified online application form(s) to be completed and submitted by applicants on the membership section of the website. The Council will consider all eligible applications for membership at its next scheduled meeting or, if decided by the Council to delegate such approval, by that delegate or delegates at their absolute discretion. Applicants would be notified of the status of their application as soon as practicable after a decision has been made.
Membership fees shall be set by the Council annually & communicated to Members at least three (3) months prior to the new financial year. Membership fees will be due on the first day of each financial year in relation to the coming year. A full list of Member Services and eligibility requirements for each category of Member or Partner (and any amendments) will be determined by the Council from time to time and notified to the General Assembly.
Once admitted as a Member of the Organization, membership will cease in the following circumstances:
1. immediately, upon the bankruptcy or insolvency of a Member;
2. at a time ordered by the Council, upon the Member being excluded from the Organization:
As a member, you will:
- by a one-half majority vote of the Council where a Member is convicted of an offence relating to dishonesty, fraud or any other form of moral turpitude;
- acts in a manner which brings, or may bring (in the absolute discretion of the Council) the Organization into disrepute;
- by a two-thirds majority vote of the Council for cause, any such meeting to be held on at least 30 days' notice being given to the Member being considered for exclusion (including reasons for the exclusion) with a right for that Member to be heard by the Council at the meeting (but neither the Member, nor any member of the Council representing or connected to the Member shall attend the deliberations of the Council or the vote). Written and/or oral submissions may be made by the Member to the Council , any written submissions must be delivered to the Council at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. The Member's rights and privileges shall be suspended until the Council has made its decision;
3. six (6) months after annual membership fees are due (or such other time as may be resolved by the Council in its absolute discretion), for non-payment of membership fees;
4. six (6) months prior to the end of any financial year upon the written notice by any Member of their decision to withdraw from the Organization.
In all cases if a membership ceases before the end of a financial year, the Member whose membership has ceased (for whatever reason) is not entitled to any refund of membership fees, in whole or in part, and will remain liable for any unpaid membership fees for that financial year. Members whose membership has ceased or is suspended have no rights to vote and no rights to any services of the Organization.
Only the assets of the Organization may be used to meet the commitments of the Organization. Members have no individual liability for the commitments, expenses or liabilities of the Organization, and similarly have no rights over any of the assets of the Organization.
