Global GREEN TECH HACKATHON
The Green Tech Hackathon is an international series of events hosted by WGEO to bring together creative minds from across the world to innovate, generate and implement new ideas for a sustainable future and for financing that future. The series of global events will culminate in a mega Hackathon event in Dubai in December 2020.
The Hackathon is a vehicle for innovation; a number of global tech leaders and other organizations associated with technology and green economy principles are seeking ways to fast-track their innovative ideas and practices through the Hackathon.
The Green Tech Hackathon in Dubai would be the world’s largest Hackathon, held over two days for private sector organizations, governments, universities, non-profits and global community members. It will bring together the most promising ideas from the Hackathon around the world.
The Hackathon aims to:
- Equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to participate and thrive in the envisioned green economy.
- Empower participants with the capacity to meaningfully contribute to the goals of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
- Incentivize entrepreneurial ideas that serve the low-carbon and climate-resilient developmental aspirations of the green economy for SDGs achievement.
