Global Ministerial Conference

19-20 October 2019

The Global Ministerial Conference on Green Economy is designed to consolidate and to further refine the outcomes of the five Regional Ministerial Conferences and High-level Forums as well as to contribute to enhancing the bottom up, needs-based approach to the elaboration of policy recommendations aimed at further advancing the green economy agenda globally.

The Global High-level Ministerial Conference on Green Economy is further aimed at showcasing and scaling up the impact of the most successful evidence-based green economy solutions crafted and tested by countries in the various regions globally and to bring the outcomes from the region to a global platform and audience.

The Global High-Level Ministerial Conference:

Provided high-level participants with the opportunity to present a number of concrete green economy solutions and innovative green technologies that have proven effective and could be potentially replicated.
Served as a platform for networking and idea-generation on possible specific public-private partnerships leading to expanding green investment projects in the participating countries.
Served as an intellectual hub for production and validation of policy recommendations to support further improvements in national-, regional-, and global-level green economy action.
