    Internship Overview

    The World Green Economy Organization (WGEO) requires an IT Support Intern for a period of six (6) months, starting from 21 September 2026, to support the day-to-day IT requirements of the organization and provide additional technical support during preparations for WGES 2026 and COP31.

    Main Responsibilities

    1. WorkSphere System Support and Data Updates

    Support users with basic WorkSphere system requirements and assist with updating and maintaining system data and records.

    2. Basic Technical Support for Staff

    Provide first-level technical support for computers, laptops, printers, software, connectivity, email, meeting-room equipment, and other IT-related requirements.

    3. IT Equipment Inventory and Documentation

    Maintain and update the inventory of laptops, computers, monitors, printers, mobile devices, accessories, and other IT equipment, including asset records and supporting documentation.

    4. File and System Organization

    Assist with organizing shared folders, electronic files, system records, user documentation, and IT-related documents.

    5. IT Setup and User Support

    Assist with the setup and configuration of computers, user accounts, software, printers, meeting-room devices, and other IT equipment as required.

    6. WGES 2026 and COP31 IT Support

    Provide technical support during preparations for WGES 2026 and COP31, including support for laptops, presentations, displays, meeting setups, audio-visual equipment, connectivity, and other event-related IT requirements.

    7. Day-to-Day IT Requirements

    Support other daily IT requirements, troubleshooting, system updates, equipment checks, and related tasks as assigned.

    Preferred Profile

    • Recent graduate or university student in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, basic networking, and hardware and software troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with databases and web-based management systems would be an advantage.
    • Good knowledge of IT equipment inventory and documentation.
    • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
    • Good communication skills in English.
    • Ability to provide responsive and professional technical support to staff.
